The greatest lie in the world anyone can give is probably "no strings attached".
In the course of my job, we're always asked to attend this & that and meet this & that person along with this defacto clause. But it seems like this clause, like most promises, are meant to be broken. Something i'm working on today, just aptly demonstrates the fact that "there's no free lunch in this world".
Work aside, how many times have all of us been conned by this in our daily lives?
I guess when one party has more to lose, they're more likely to dangle the "no strings attached" carrot to another, hoping that they'll chew first.
Let's look at it in another way: If something is so attractive or if i'm a willing party and is prepared to bear the consequences, who cares whether or not something comes with strings attached?
It's really not as good as it sounds. Think twice.
